The Center for Education Reform and Development was approved as a Key Research Base for Humanities and Social Sciences in Henan Province in 2005, making it one of the earliest institutions at our university to receive this designation.
During its development, the center has continuously adjusted and optimized its research directions in response to the restructuring and expansion of related research institutions within the academic department. Currently, the center focuses on four research areas:
Life and Value Education – Building on its tradition of life education research, this area explores the theoretical and practical transformations in life and value education at a deeper level.
Basic Education Reform – Conducting systematic exploration of the key challenges and hot topics in China’s basic education reform since the turn of the century, from both theoretical and practical perspectives.
Higher Education Reform – Focusing on the new directions and frameworks in higher education in the new era, particularly in relation to innovative talent cultivation, scientific and technological advancement, and economic development.
Modern Educational Technology – Closely integrating with current technological advancements, leveraging its professional expertise to enhance the application of educational technology theories in educational practice.
Looking ahead, the center will further concentrate on its core research areas, conducting in-depth and continuous studies on key issues in education, strengthening research efforts, and supporting educational reform in practice.
