The Ministry of Education Research Base for Education Evaluation Reform (Henan University) was established in March 2024, with Professor Liu Zhijun serving as the director. The first batch of co-founding institutions for the education evaluation reform research bases includes 10 organizations, namely:

The research base will focus on conducting theoretical and policy research in key areas such as comprehensive student quality assessment reform, basic education evaluation reform, and the reform of examination and admissions systems, as well as discipline-major-course evaluation in higher education. It aims to further strengthen organized research efforts, align with national strategic needs, and draw on international best practices. The base will also innovate collaborative research models, actively apply intelligent technologies to drive the digital transformation, intelligent upgrading, and integrated innovation of education evaluation, and continuously support the formulation of national education evaluation policies, accelerating efforts toward building a strong education system.
