Henan University Faculty of Education 2024 Recruitment of High-Level Talent
I. Overview of the Faculty
The predecessor of the Faculty of Education at Henan University was the Department of Education at Zhongzhou University, established in 1923. It was one of the earliest departments of Henan University, enrolling undergraduate students in 1924 and graduate students in 1927. In 1954, following national educational policy adjustments, the Department of Education was restructured into the Public Education Teaching and Research Office, offering general education courses in pedagogy and psychology for normal university students.
In 1980, the Department of Education was reinstated, resuming undergraduate and graduate admissions. In July 1999, the School of Education Science was established based on the Department of Education, accelerating the development of educational disciplines and forming a comprehensive talent cultivation system covering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. In May 2021, following university decisions, the Faculty of Education was founded based on the School of Education Science, initiating large-scale administrative reforms.
The faculty consists of four teaching and administrative units: the School of Education, the School of Psychology, the School of Teacher Education, and the Institute of Basic Education Research. It has 13 provincial research institutes and three research innovation teams recognized by Henan Province. The faculty comprises 153 staff members, including 42 professors, 43 associate professors, 47 doctoral advisors, and 130 master's advisors. With a strong academic tradition and an excellent educational environment, the faculty aims to recruit high-level talents in education, psychology, early childhood education, educational technology, and related fields.
